



With 40 years of experience , including hosting a series of top-level international competitions, Sierra Nevada offers a complete complement of attractions and services designed to challenge, cosset and amuse visitors, both in winter and summer.
Let’s start with the winter basics: 78 groomed pistes with the emphasis on long intermediate runs (4 black, 35 red, 33 blue, 8 green); 24 lifts with a total capacity of 48.705 passengers/hour, including the fastest lifts in Spain. There’s also night skiing and a ski park for surfers and skiers alike.
There are nine restaurants on the slopes, and dozens more in the village. ¿Sierra Nevada de nuit? Famous for its “mucha marcha,” this ski resort is a legend among skiers in the whole world for its aprés ski ambiente.
Sport shops and boutiques, a sports club/spa, and a kindergarten in the snow are also on hand, along with ski clubs and schools, a cinema, health clinic, pharmacy, supermarket, several banks, an automobile mechanic, and a cybercafe. Taxis and buses provide reliable public transport both within the village and up and down the hill to Granada.
In summertime the atmosphere in Sierra Nevada is more relaxed, with the mountain converted into a peaceful, unhurried setting for people who want to hike, ride horses or mountain bikes, fly paragliders or simply escape the heat of the Andalusian summers with a good book.
Summer nights in the Sierra oblige visitors to cover up with a blanket, or two... For young people between the ages of 7 and 16 there are English courses spiced up with a variety of healthy open-air activities.
